Beautiful nature and a fun playground
This spot is part of the Rozendaal Estate. It has also been nominated as a children's spot by the children of Roerdalen. It is an ideal place to romp in the sand, slide down the dunes, play hide and seek or climb trees. The dunes are full of heather, gorse and birch trees. You can hear and see rare birds here, such as the stonechat. In the season, the heather colours the area purple. In every season, the dunes have a different colour.
Location
You can reach the drifting dunes from the car park of Landgoed Rozendaal at the junction of Rozendaal/Voorste Rozendaalseweg in Montfort. Turn right from the car park and follow the street (junction 27). Then take the first right towards junction 26. After about 100 metres, you will see the lucky spot on your right.
