This forest is littered with graves. The round burial mounds were built for important people, such as a chief, but also for a child.
The dead were first cremated in the Bronze Age... and then buried in an urn in a burial mound. Burial mounds are usually raised with heather or grass turf. But in these hills, the core consists of a stone chamber and a stone rampart has been built around the graves.

The burial ground consists of at least seven burial mounds, but presumably more are hidden between the trees and bushes, and under the ground.
Among the cremation remains of one of the graves, the baby teeth of a child were also found. So it is a children's grave from the Bronze Age. In another grave, bronze sickle knives have been found, made to harvest the grain.
