KempenBroek

On the border of Belgian and Dutch Limburg lies KempenBroek. A cross-border nature reserve of 25,000 ha that is unique in its size. The area was once a refuge for billygoat riders and smugglers but now it is an oasis of peace and natural beauty.

A varied landscape

The varied landscape of Kempen~Broek consists of several adjacent parts, similar to a house with several rooms. Each room exudes its own atmosphere: forest, marsh, hayfield and stream valley. These rooms are home to numerous rare plants and animals.

Open to all

Hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, horsemen and mountain bikers are more than welcome. They can enjoy the landscape, nature and cultural elements at their own pace via signposted routes. In the various reception points, people are ready to help you on your way.

Kempen~Broek: once a hiding place for billygoat riders and smugglers, now a wonderful place to discover space and experience silence. Look here for more information about the nature reserve.
